Krista Steinour

Krista is a rich-voiced mezzo soprano from Clemmons, NC. She teaches both classical and music theater voice at the Community Music School at the School of the Arts. She has over twenty years experience of being involved with rigorous choirs and is honored to be involved with the Winston-Salem Choral Artists. Krista has a vocal certificate and bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Appalachian State University. After graduating, Krista practiced as a board certified music therapist in GA, PA, and CA but has since fallen in love with teaching. She recently opened her own studio entitled Music Matters and feels passionately about using her background to support students of all learning types. When she isn’t performing, teaching, or rehearsing, Krista loves to play with her two cats and travel with her partner, Robby.
